They start at around 30K. GM also has 0% apr so long term cost will be reduced, also it looks very good. Test drive one and there will be no other 30K car to come close for that bang for your buck.

Yes, because the G35 surpasses it, AND it looks good.
Edmunds - might I add this is one of the poorer comparisons that the G35 received.

You should really have him look at certified used luxury cars as well. 30K or so for a new car is not going to buy something incredibly upscale (5 series, A6 etc).
Yeah. Try to get the latest model of the LS400/430 that you can afford. I'm sure a 98 LS400 would be right in your budget.

Why get a '98 when you can get a 2001 Q45?!?! The Q is a GREAT vehicle that just happens to have high depreciation - why not take advantage of that?!?!?!

I would have to say if he is looking for sporty executive then either the A4 or the 3 series as you can usually find either around 30K new...

The G35 is nice, but I have heard that they are very hard to get with the 6 speed and I personally don't like the looks of them especially whem compared with either of the two above.

Also for the same money as others have said you can buy slightly used with a higher end Audi, BMW or Merc...or go budget and get a Merc C240, not the best performer and not the highest end but it does have that executive look, is somewhat luxury and also well..it is a Merc.

one can I would not consider is the IS300, you would be better off with a top of the line Toyota before this one IMHO of course.

You should check out the Acura 3.2TL Type-S (if in Canada, A-Spec) and the TSX w/Navi
Check out the saab 9-3 , the VW Passat and the Audi A4 too, they're really cool cars.
The BMW's are really nice too, but they have less features for the price compared to the competition (except for MB).

What's the difference between the C230 sports sedan and the C240 except for the fact that C230 has a supercharger? If there isn't any other difference, why would people opt for the C240 with less HP?

Go to a Caddy dealer and look at a CTS, then go look for a equal G35 with the same options, the G35 will be at least 3K more and that does not include 0% APR you can get from GM.

And have you even driven a G35 AND a CTS, I have, so I know what I am talking about.

I think that would be more fun and more prestigious than a Beamer, but what do I know. Girls and men in touch with their feminine side just want to have fun.

For the record, I don't have a feminine side.

You'd probably look funny riding in a boxter in bra and panties anyhow...😉

Because the 98 LS400 is better than a 2001 Q45. Hell, the 94 LS400 is better than a 99 CamryLE/Maxima GLE.

I  the LS400.

$25,000 - $35,000 don't give you much of a new luxury car.

If you want a new luxury car for that price range, I would suggest Mercedes C240, Audi A4, BMW 3 series.

You might have to bargain like hell to get these car brand new in your price range.

If you'd like to get used, you can afford BMW 5 series, Mercedes CLK, E320, Audi A6.

Good luck and have fun looking for your next car 🙂

If you are West Coast you should try the Almeda County Auto Auction. Granted an FBI friend said some of these cars have interesting histories, many were lease returns, repos, etc.
