YACT: What car says "power and speed" to you?

OK, I don't want to bias anyone, so I won't yet say what we thought, but what car - above all others - says power and speed to you. I'll tell you what we thought after a few posts.

OK, so I instantly thought of the Ford Mustang. Let me caveat this with I HATE FORDS! I think they're all sh1t, and they'll all die at 100k miles, regardless of how well you take care of them. I still think that a Ford Mustang (Cobra, of course) says power and speed to me.

They all said a Vantage, but I don't see that as being "powerful," per se, just fast. An American car's more throaty sound just kind of show that power better.

Are you from Alabama or from the fvcking UK?

Anyway, I'd say POWER and SPEED translates to McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron, or Koenigseggs.

Neither, and I really hate that I thought of a Ford, but I did. Can't help it.

pretty funny.. i bought my last 4 stangs with 90-100k miles on them...
beat the living crap outa them and never had much problem except with heater cores... they all seem to go out on those cars. but i literally beat the stuffing out of my stangs.. and modded the crap outa them..
every single one was still running at over 240K miles..
and i still see a couple of them around town at the street racer meets...

Granted the stangs can produce some serious power if made correctly, they are pony cars. Nothing wrong with them and I know of alot of fords that are running at 100k+ miles and still going strong.

Now if you had thought of the Ford GT, then maybe you wouldn't be so hard on yourself

OK, so it's safe to say you'd agree with me on the "speed and power" part, but not the unreliability? (to be fair, Consumer Reports agrees with you, but I'm never buying a Ford, so no point arguing about it)

Heh, I love that car myself, and that will be my next car for sure, but even I can't claim that is says "speed and power."
