So it's basically a 2 door Audi A3 3.2 Quattro for about the same price.

It's more expensive than the MKIV, it's heavier than the MKIV, it doesn't offer a true manual, and it doesn't provide any more power than the MKIV.

Well done VW. Well done!

These things will rot on the lots before they go anywhere near the MSRP.

MKIV's are out. This is based on the new Golf platform and will be out in limited numbers around August.

I don't like MKV's GTI's in general, so I don't like this as well. My main gripe is the painted bumper below the grille. It's just so ugly. The MKV's remind me of Asian cars, not the Euro cars that I like VW for.
