So instead you opted for paying to much for an unattractive, boring car.. while you could have found something else thats a little bit nicer for the same price, while not getting screwed?

For 18k you could buy a used bimmer or an acura or various other things.

probably sans the nice tire/rim and the headlights will be toned down.
