Black EXL honda pilot.

I must say this is a lot of vehicle for the price (28K). We looked at a LOT of suvs under 50K. Really loved the volvo suv but didn't wanna pay that much for a car.

Good motor (not going to be towing a boat so the 6 is fine), lots of room, drives well...good braking.

I didn't realize just how big it was until we got home and put it in the garage. Sitting there looking at the thing thinking "Man that is big"

I think honda's really got a winner here and they've priced it accordingly.

IMO its overpriced. Should be priced closer to the Ford Escape. They are very nice though. Just not worth nearly 30,000. I would want something a tad bigger for that much.

Wow.

I thought it was huge...way bigger than the explorer and jeep cherokees we were looking at.

Nice vehicle. I'm sure that some of the parts that I've made are on that Honda Pilot. Let me know if you need some! (Hahaha, just kidding.)

LOL...

No way is a POS Escape comparable to this... Honda vs Ford... Accord vs 626... 3 ros of seats vs 2... Honda vs Ford... :)

As for the 4runners... nice, but no way should they be priced at over 40K...

i found this on car and driver...

"Honda did their own crash tests to see how the Pilot would fare in future government (NHTSA) and insurance industry (IIHS) crash tests. Honda's tests reveal the Pilot will provide five-star crash safety performance in frontal and side impacts for front and rear passengers ? that's the highest safety rating given by the federal government. Honda says they've paid particular attention to the rear design to provide a high level of safety for third-row passengers in a rear collision."

So take it with a grain of salt, it was honda's own test and not from independant/mandated testing.

What?! The CR-V is the Escape's competition from Honda. The Pilot is a very nice SUV (as SUVs go). Much better than the Explorer, imo.

not too bad of a vehicle... boring looks.. but that's Honda's life story :D
heh, jokes... they have made some nice cars.. the Pilot is nice for an SUV.. much like the other thread about the MDX. those are some SUV's I can handle for sure.

Yeah....but the MDX is WAY more expensive. If I were inclined to get an SUV, though, the MDX would be right up there. Took a couple out test driving one once and almost had them sold on it. Was a sweet ride and the interior is way different from the Pilot.

Yeah, I really loved the Volvo and the MDX...just didn't see myself spending that much money on a car. The interiors are super plush.

So conjur if you see a black pilot at the Derby, we'll be in the new boxes.

There is absolutely no comparison between a Ford Escape and a Honda Pilot. The Escape is not even in the same league. A friend of mine has a Pilot w/DVD and it is one sweet SUV for the price.

As I've said in other threads on SUV. The Pilot will be my next vehicle. I will get the cloth seat EX with dealer installed DVD Player since I'm not to into leather...:)

I didn't know the Escape had a 3rd row seat option. Closest vehicle made by Ford with a 3rd row seat is an Explorer and thats what my GF has. No thank you take the Honda over Ford anyday.

So I saw a commercial about this car and they were advertising 8 Passenger seating.

Can the pilot actually fit 8 Passengers?

If so, enlighten me as to how they can accomplish this. This thing doesn't look that much bigger than the CRV.

It can fit 8 people....but I wouldn't put any tall people in the 3rd row seat. 3rd row is really designed for short trips or children IMO. I've sat in the 3rd row of a Suzuki XL-7 and it was really really cramp and the Pilot had a little bit more room than that. But I wouldn't put my 6' buddies back there unless we were just going someplace close.

And its bigger than the CRV. It may not look like at it first but the Pilot is bigger.

Obviously you've never seen one in person then ;)
