Don't fit in them. I can't drive the forester or the legacy/legacy outback comfortably. The steering wheel doesn't tilt high enough and I can't get my legs under it comfortably enough. And my knee hits the little cruise control stick whenever I turn the wheel.

Oddly enough the redesigned impreza's have more room under the wheel than the larger foresters and legacy's.

damn useless japanese half-tilt :|

vi... the new 05 Imprezas and Legacies are coming out right now, not in the fall. New 05 WRX should be at your dealer within 2 weeks, and comes with 17" wheels, a new improved interior, and reinforced 5MT with (gasp) dual-cone synchros. Also a kickass new grey color. Text

And anyone who says the seat side bolters are too tight has never hit the twisties in one (and needs to lose a couple of pounds 😛 ).

Legacies should hit by the end of the month, with the GT's coming out early next month.

I'm 6' and 180 pounds. I don't have *a lot* more weight to loose. I just have unaturally wide hips. I wear a size 38 waist.

As for the new legacy, at this point in time, the GT model I want is out of my price range. Maybe in 4 years or so I'll upgrade to one.

Heh... I was joking vi...

My point though is that those bolsters come in handy when you hit the twisties.

But I can completely understand not buying an AWD car in southern AZ. If I lived where it never rained or snowed, I wouldn't get AWD either.

I saw a Malibu Maxx a few days ago. I kind of liked it. I hope it proves to be more reliable than the last generation Malibu, because I would consider buying a used one in the future.
