Anyone done the private selling process before? Do I just have to collect payment and sign over the title or what? Doing this in NC BTW
Hey all,
I'm getting a new (new to me anyway) car and have to get rid of the ol' 93 Chrysler Concorde w/173K on it. I really didn't want to deal with selling it privately but I'm not buying my new car from a dealership and CarMax will only give me $455. Its got a few issues (passenger front window needs repair, freon is low I think, windshield has a crack, valve cover seals leak oil slightly) but overall is a stable, good ol' car. Bluebook is $1200 in "Good" and $755 in "Fair" condition, so I'm aiming for that range.
Suggestions, comments, concerns, hints for selling it privately? I plan on getting a For Sale sign, taping a printout of the KBB value & my price, and disclosing all of the problems. I'd imagine I will also list it in the local paper.
Is Autotrader.com worth it/how much does that cost?
Other ideas?
TIA!
