Could go w/ an Oldsmobile 442 if you want pure muscle 😛

wow, 442s fetch some money!

agreed with the 240z if you want inexpensive. they tend to get rusty, though.

I always thought something like this beast would be a lot of fun to own. Big ol' V8, HUGE car, top down, rides like a boat, more space then your average house... Oh yea...! /Koolaid man

Given the damage to the front end (broken turn signal) I think the driver might've pulled a Koolaid man and busted through a wall 😀

Wasn't power pitiful in the 79-80?
Ours wasn't too bad. The turbo went out in it once and dad fixed it. In about 92 he dropped a 350 Chevy in it. That thing was badass then. 😛

Yeah, the turbo was a different story, you gotta specify details like that 😛

Get an 88 - 89 Chrysler Conquest / Mitsubishi Starion! You can find one in great shape for half of what you're looking to spend. They respond decently to mods, fun, fast, very rare, and overall not expensive.

NOTE: Must be handy with a wrench or prepare to spend lots of time at the mechanic. Second car is pretty much a must. These cars are temperamental. There are LOTS of online resources for these cars though - scanned-in downloadable service manuals and the like.

Good taste, my 1st boyfriend had a chevelle SS, not that year. He painted it black, I think his had a 350 in it, don't exactly remember. That car was smokin too. That or a Cutlass.

Get an 88 Pontiac Fiero GT. They're a hoot to drive and are still cheap.

Might as well get a mk1 MR2 instead...better reliability, just as much fun to drive, and still cheap.

1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville convertible
1975 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe
1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL
1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

...Sorry, those are just some of my favorites.

I have no clue where you live but check this site out for it has what your looking for, and in the price you want to pay, Im sure of it.

You will just have to drive there to get it 😉

This can be yours for under $6K 🙂

That 70's show "like" Vista Cruiser 🙂 I want this.

1965 Buick Rivera

65 Dodge Dart

65 Chevy malibu, $2k more then you wanted to pay but OH so sweet looking 😉

Anyway I have to quit, you get the idea, just a sample what they got, lots of cars there, and if I ever have a large wad of disposable money Im making the 4 hour drive there for sure myself.

OK one more 1966 GTO Convertible $14,5K, but very, VERY, sweet car!

OH and stay away from the Chevy Nova as much as I hate to say. Great cars and as far as engine parts go very easy to come by, as for anything else, PITA and very expensive to find.
