YACT: Question about dealer auctions.

I'm looking to buy a car to use as a daily driver since mine is no longer practical as one. I haven't been able to find what I want on the lots in town so I've got the guys from one of the used car dealerships here looking around for one at the auctions they go to. My question is if there is any point to having any other used car place also look for one for me. Do all the dealerships pretty much go to the same auctions or would my chances of my finding what I want be increased by having more than one dealership looking for one?

I think there are auctions that most dealers will goto so if you're lookin for more then one dealer to go you may end up driving up your own price

It all depends. There are several auctions in a nearby city. Some dealers go to more than 1 while others stich to a particular auction house. So it is kind of random, but depends on how many auction houses are in your city and which dealers go to them.
