I don't think there are full service gas stations in socal. Usually each station has only one attendant, and he manages the cashier/snack bar.

i heard something similar in oregon, if you're not over 18 you can't pump gas or something, maybe you have to be licenced.....maybe i heard wrong :Q

i live in nj but went to school in md. when i would come home for vacation, it was all i could do to not get out of my car and start pumping myself it took so long. sometimes id get out and start and the dudes working there would freak out. of course, by the time i got back to school, id end up pulling into a gas station and just sitting there like a fool for 2 minutes trying to figure out why i wasnt getting any service.
