yeah E500 will go for around $65k. For that much I would pick up a 03 S500. If we're talking coupes, a CL. Ideally if I had $65k, I would make payments on a SLK32 (should be around $35k for an 02) or maybe a new SLK55. To supplement the roadster probably a E320 CDi Diesel, since I would get 220hp and 300lb/ft torque with 45mpg highway. Two cars I could see myself keeping.

Yes, I know I am a Benz fanboy. But thats another thread🙂

AWD RL or BMW 5 series.

Honestly, my opinion doesn't matter, since in all likelyness my next vehicle will probably be a minivan or a family sedan.

On a side note I'm going to go to the CLS unveiling event this weekend. Although the event should be fun, in my opinion, the car doesn't really have any sort of purpose. Looks nice though, but I would get the S.

Have any of you even seen the inside of E500??? How can you vote for something else. The only car that even comes close os 545. That's like being asked if you'd like to fly 1st class, and you preferring the coach.

Have you seen the interior of the 545i? Its an abomination.

The new RL redefines what is possible in a luxury sedan by establishing a performance-value benchmark that is unmatched by any euro manufacturer. To top it off, its reliability will certainly exceed bmw/mb/audi's in terms of its electronics and interior components.

From personal experience, and having driven most of the cars mentioned, they are all very good. At the 50k+ range, there isn't really any good or bad. For the most part, the choice comes down to personal preference.

So is the exterior.

Hmm... sounds like the M35(x) fits that description better.
It beats the RL in every performance category, interior quality exceeds that of the RL, and it has a lower starting price as well as similarly equipped price.
And Infiniti is second to only Lexus in terms of reliability and customer experience/satisfaction.
And it doesn't look like an Accord 😛

So I guess the M35 just redefined what the RL recently redefined.
