Yea I agree with you on that. When I say cosmetic I dont mean body kit and wing and crap. I just mean paintjob, and rims that way it looks nice.

Dump it and get a newer model. You have one of the ugly Mustangs. I HATE that body style, ESPECIALLY for a performance car. It's just fugly. 2nd ugliest Mustang design ever.

Or just buy the performance stuff, because you apparently don't think it's ugly.

Riiiiiiiiiight. Because you hate it, he should dump it. Gotcha.

Uh... did you happen to see the second part of the post, where I suggested he should buy the performance stuff?

Daily Driver :D Had it two years. Been Working on it every weekend since doing little things.....

Im not 100% sure on heads. I have been looking around but idk what I want to go with nor do I know what intake.

As for cam im looking for something like the Ford E-303, or F-303. I want a rough idle in my car so you can tell its got something going on :p. Im not set on anything. I just want the car to talk to me, and keep the power range mid-high.

Josh

I hear ya on that. I've slowly been replacing stuff on mine that needs it. I just had a 10 day vacation a couple weeks back, and I spent about 7 of those days working on the car. I pulled the old alternator and threw in a PA Performance 120A unit. I then noticed how scary the stock charging wiring was, so I rewired the whole charging system, my stereo, and a few other things.

Next up is picking up some new wheel bearings for when I throw on my new EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and "green stuff pads. After that it's having the A/C purged and pulling it out totally...got the FMS kit sitting right next ot me. After that...it's the heater core and some white faced gauges. Then I will move on to finally putting on those new valve covers and putting in some 30lb/hr injectors... After that....

;)

Ohh...I'm not a big SC or Turbo guy, so when my motor gives up, I think I'll go with the FMS 347 stroker..it's a bit more tempting than the 351W IMO, and it should work well with the heads and intake setup I have now.

:)

Edit:

Here's the current state of my engine bay.

I sooooooooo can't wait to pull the A/C system...there will be SO MUCH ROOM to work on stuff. :)

Ha :) Looks nice man :D

A/C has been pulled off mine for a while now. I just have the compressor sitting there spining freely LOL. Should have the eliminator kit for it and the smog pump with undrive pullies, the one from 5.0 resto by mid-week :)

The paint is not bad. The clearcoat is peeling around the molding and joints on the car, it doesnt look bad but it does need to be redone, the longer I put it off the worse it will get. The hood is starting to show signs of the dreaded fading of paint that these year fords were bad for doing.... Its not bad it just started but it will also only get worse.

The rocker panel on the driver side is smash up though where it was dropped on blocks when my Cobra R wheels where stolen. So it needss to be replaced.

Overall its not a bad looking car, that Is why Im leaning for the performance stuff on it. I have did a fe things to it since I have had it dynoed last. I want to put the stuff in it this weekend but I can't located any stores in this area that sells Performance parts such as cams, and Rocker Arms, Advance and Autozone don't have them, and that is prett much all we have around here that I know of.

I'd go 5 lug and disc brakes all around first using the 94/95 stuff. Thats what I want to do on my 89 coupe anyway. Brakes on these suck stock :).

IMO, unless you have money to burn, or you are going to use junkyard parts, that route is not the best option. The car is fine with 4 lugs, and the rear disc brakes really only level off the braking so the car doesn't nosedive as much. The few fox body guys I know who have converted to rear discs said they wish they had just upgraded the fronts and spent the money on other things.

I went the route on mine of upgrading the fronts only. First, I picked up a set of calipers from a early 90's Lincoln LSC. They had the same brake setup as the fox bodies, except they had a larger 73mm piston in the calipers vs. the 60mm one in the stangs. I picked up to parts store rebuilds with lifetime warranty for about ~$15ea. Combine that with some stainless brake lines, slotted and/or dimpled rotors, brake proportioning valve, and some decent pads, and you should be good to go.

I have cross drilled rotors on there now, but I picked up these EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and a set of these EBC "Green Stuff" pads (they are $20 cheaper than 50 Resto). Once I pick up some new wheel bearing later this week, they will be going on.

Tire rack also has a stainless brakeline kit for $98 here.

:)
