That's what i told them, but they said i signed the estimated which is true, so i don't think there's much i can do.

Read the fine print. You should have a copy of the estimate you signed. If not go down there and get it. If you did sign it then chances are you're definitely screwed.

last time I checked: an estimate is not a work order.

I signed an estimate and told them no work gets done until I ok it first.

Don't ask me, I've never dealt with a shop beyond "smog it" and "align it".

I know a lot about this issue, and things can go from bad to horrible from overheating.

An engine can literally melt down from lack of coolant. Heads need to be checked, as do bearings.

A seriously overheated engine should either be rebuilt or replaced.

I cannot believe that you drove down the road for that long without looking at the temp gauge.

Do you look under the car for puddles when walking to your car? I am sure there was some leaking before hand.

Yuo could have spent $100 on a radiator to replace yourself, now you are stuck likely buying a whole new engine or putting alot of money into a high mileage 13 year old motor.

Learn some of the basics about car repair. This will not only allow you to save money by doing repairs yourself, but you will also be able to spot troubles early, and eliminate them before they get worse.

the engine didn't completely stop working. The were able to drive it from the parking lot into the garage after it had been towed. They say the engine block is fine, but the heads are very warped.

first off, it is Duct Tape.

Second, Duct tape would be completely useless as a fix to this problem.

Once I did. Though I don't think I owned that car very much longer.

Ok i got the truck back like 2 weeks ago. Had them do everything except the valve job, and the final bill was 3235.86. It mostly runs fine, but it has stalled 3 times during slow manuvering/parking. It never did this before. Should i take it back? I'm really sick of dealing with these guys and the occasional stall isn't that big a deal, but i don't want this to turn into a worse problem...
