My drivers side window won't roll up or down (Power Windows, FTL). I tried tugging at it a little bit when I got home to no avail. I'm hoping it's just a fluke but just in case does anyone know any remedies to fix this problem.

:(

It's a 92 Honda Accord

Is it below the weather seal? Power or crank? You might consider a "YACT" on this thread.

sorry... didn't read like an idiot

I saw this problem on a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix that had thick tint on the window. I put a thin layer of oil on the window, and it stopped jamming in the weather stripping.

Some use a wire and pulleys. Wire on mine broke once - it got hung up aside the pulley, frayed, and finally broke. Push the window closed and duct tape it?

If it's not down all the way just open the door and grip the window flat with a hand on each side and pull up that way.

Yep. May need a shim to hold it up....

In most cases you don't because friction caused it to break anyway.

but when you pull it up many times you are releasing the tension (unrolling the cable) that holds the assembly up causing window to freely move up and down.

It would help to know the car.....

No recalls on the regulators that I see. Make sure the motor is getting power. If it is you need a regulator. Pick one up on ebay or in a junkyard for about $30 bucks if you think you can do it yourself.

In the mean time you can put plastic over it or pull the window up. Pulling it up will require quite a bit of force.....

How can I verify if the motor is getting power.

Cheap test light. When the switch is "on" it should light up.

Sounds like your power window regulator. Do you at least hear the motor when you try to engage it? If your lucky, perhaps it only came off it's track. If you're unlucky - you'll need to replace it. If you are a DIY guy, you can get a new regualtor rather cheap from a lot of places on-line. I've had to change 2 on my dad's Corolla and 1 on my Camry...really easy to do - just need one of those panel tools to pop out the trim and a screw driver.

I think I got my regulators from http://1aauto.com/

Also - if you have to wait for a part and need to have your window rolled up, I did this for a temporary fix on my Dad's car.
I removed the regulator completely, and put on of those small C-Clamps on the window track to prop the window up in a closed position. It held fine until the regulator came in. Gotta make sure it's secured well - you don't want the glass come crashing down....more $$$ to change that.
