I'm glad I don't have power windows. When people make fun of my "poor people windows," I always point out that power windows can weigh more. (They're often pretty similar in weight on most cheap cars, but at least it sounds good. :wink;)

(There's a good reason why a Ferrari Enzo has no power window option: weight savings!)

Sounds like the motor to me. I wa going to replace one on a minivan once, but I decided to wait until wathr warmed up since it died in winter. Ended up trading in the van 1st.

Anyway, the window was stuck down, so I removed the door panel, playd around with things until I could get the window up, then I tightend everything back up and removed power to the unit. That way, just in case I forgot or my arm hit the button, it would not move.

I had to replace the power window motor in my old Ramcharger last year.

It was kind of a pain,as I had to cut some of the sheetmetal with tin snips to get enough access to the motor.

Besides that it was real easy to put in. I think the part cost about $30.
