YACT - Off brake first or clutch first?

When you park a manual on a hill leaving it in gear, should you release the clutch first and put the load of the car on the clutch/drivetrain, or come off the brake first putting the load of the car on the parking brake? I have always come off the clutch first...habit I guess. Is that bad?

Hand brake, foot off break then clutch. How else are you gonna do the hand break ronin turn into a parking space??

yeah but you might want to put the load on the clutch so you can save your precious hand break for the ronin high-speed 270 intersection spinout. 😉

I always go:

1) Handbrake
2) release brake pedal
3) release clutch

I always feel releasing clutch first would put too much pressure on the transmission.... but that's just me...

If you're in gear and you let go of the clutch, and you're not moving due to brake/handbrake - how does that work? Won't you stall? You should be able to release the handbrake, let go of the brake pedal, and start moving forward without having moved back much or at all. Maybe you should practice on a hill somewhere?

I remember when I first started driving, I sucked so bad that I couldn't start when I was on a hill not even visible to the eye! I got so frustrated..😛 now I have the hang of it, and hills don't worry me in the least... but that was a pissoff back when I didn't know sh!t. 😛
