all the details on the site. basically

1997 Acura Integra LS Sedan 4D
$6995
Metallic Blue
129k miles...

all the maintenance records are posted too. my only concern is the 129k miles. how much longer will the car be good for? i'll probably be using it to commute myself (around 80 miles/day). would you get it or should i look for something else?? thanks

edit: found another...worth $2k more?

http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~krschee/99maroon.html
99 LS 4D
$9000
maroon
67k

When you buy a used car, no matter what the brand, can last 10 minutes or 10 years after you buy it. Statistically speaking, this is one of the best used cars you can buy... Integra already have famous reliability, but this vehicle has full service records.

Sounds like a good deal. I paid the same price ($6900) for a '97 Infiniti I30 with 108k, so I would jump on this deal if I hadn't bought mine yet.

i'm always avoiding cars with over 100k, but maybe that's more of a psychological issue ha. but over 100k, the repairs start stacking up right? when do you need to replace the clutch?

The mileage is way too high. Also, manual? I would rather drive an automatic if I had a car. It looks like a current day Saturn or Pontiac. I don't think it's worth it, especially for that ammount of money.

If oyu would have read the link, all of the major service was just done, along with the clutch and timing belt.

Why spend a couple grand on fixin up the car when you can go and buy another one??

It's a HONDA, not a crappy ford or a Chevy, a HONDA - it will last well past 200k miles if basic maintenance is done. It's one of the best/most solid/reliable cars ever built, which is why the value has stayed so high.

You will pay more for a quality vehicle, and honestly, the price the guy is selling it for is very good.

WTF are you talking about??? THE PREVIOUS OWNER ALREADY DID THE MAJOR SERVICE, YOU DILLHOLE. Geeze, I wish people who didn't know anything about cars would just never respond to car threads - it would make things MUCh easier.

I don't think that the price is good for a 7 year old vehicle. Besides, what's so special about a Honda. It's just like a toyota, which could cost like $4000 for a 7 year model.

yea just saw that, my bad.

actually the owner is a GIRL. which makes the deal even better...ha. unless she drives like a madwoman.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Grab lip, pull over head, swallow.

No, stop making assumptions, no american car in the same class has an edge over the integra. In the same class, the offering from domestic brands are CRAP.

Mustangs are compact sedans? That's news to me.

My 1995 GSR had a 190K miles on it when someone rear ended me and then it was stolen from the body shop parking lot. Otherwise I would still be driving it for at least another 100K miles.

Make sure the cars you are looking at have had the timing belt changed and check the clutch and the transmission synchos.

They make coupe integras. Well if your going to completly narrow down the class, Ford Focus and Dodge Neon.

thanks. from the maintenance records, they've been done.

i'm leaning towards the maroon one however. newer, half the mileage, and used as a family car.

Sure about the no-accident thing? Both look like they have dented front license plates. The blue one looks like new bumper/front fender, and maybe a new windshield too (weather trim looks thick for OEM). The red might have new bumper, can't tell from that pic. Unless both of them had bras and were never driven on the freeway, you'd see plenty of paint chips on the bumper of a car that old.

The red is in much better condition, I doubt it's worth the extra $2000 though. It's an LS, bleagh.

those compete with the civic, not the integra. the integra (and even the civic, for that matter) will rip the focus and neon a new one in terms of fit-and-finish, reliability, resale value (which is why it costs more in the first place), comfort, and handling.
