now, back to thread--- The G35 rocks, might be just out of your price range-- but definetly worth a shot so go look at it.

what do you drive now?

I'm driving a 2002 civic right now.
So most cars would be a step up in comfort.

A lot of places list the Audi A4 as one of the most comfortable cars. Top notch interior quality and very nice seats make long road trips bearable.

My roommate has an A4 and I hate it. I haven't driven it myself, but its passenger un-friendly. ;(
I'll ask to test-drive his car.

Took a look at it. Price doesnt seem bad. Standard one is about $29K.
Premium one with navigational system is about $33K.
I originally wanted a navigational system because of my poor memory and sense of direction, but for $4K more I'd have to rethink that.

any newer volvo (like 740 and up). I say this because we have been running older volvos for years, and my dad just got an '87 740. It has ergonimocally designed seats researched by doctors. At first, the seat seems just slightly imposing than a more soft and cushy car, but it is supporting you. My dad drives for 10 hours every week and has a bad hip, the car make his ride sooooo smooth. I have personally driven the car 11 hours in one day and not felt physically tired once i got home. I have also drive 500 miles (about 9 hours) each day for 2 days straight and not felt tired (except in the head). Whatever you look for, look for ergonomics.

Jesus Christ no wonder you are so uncomfortable, those cars are torturous to ride in. :( Are you looking for more comfortable like smoother ride or nicer seats or just more leg/headroom? Most imported cars from Japan with the exception of some of the Lexus' feel a little stiffer ride wise to me, compared to things like Cadillacs anyway. My MKIII Supra has the most comfortable seats in the world, but it's probably way below your price range. :D

I guess I'm looking for nicer seats. Since I'm pretty short, I don't need too much head/legroom.

Volvo sounds good also. Volvo S60 looks to be in my price range even with the navigational system! I'll look into that too.

Another thought is to look at a year or two old BMW 3 series w/ the luxury package. Those things have like 18 way adjustable seats.

If you can't find a comfortable seating position with that, you just aren't going to :)
