I promised my aunt I would try to find a good price for a new 2003 Honda CR-V All-wheel Drive EX AUTO. I know there's been a few threads in the past re: the Accords and I've found it extremely useful. Can anyone chime on what range of prices I should look for? The quote I got from my local dealer is around $21.6k, carsdirect.com is $21.9k. This is in the LA area.

Any help is appreciated, TIA!

Go to Honda's website and price it out.
Then go to Edmunds and figure out what the dealer cost of the car should be. You should pay somewhere between the dealer cost and the MSRP.

Good luck. Honda dealer's are fuggin nazi's, and one of the main reason's I'd almost never consider buying a honda. Their dealers are a bunch of assholes.

The VERY first thing that the salesman said to me when I walked in looking at a CR-V actually was "Don't expect us to haggle down from MSRP on these".

I promptly said thanks and walked out.

My dad got our new Camry last year for $14K. Power everything w/ 5speed. Undercut a comparable Accord by at least 3-4k and even a comparably Camry by a few k. The funny thing is the 91 Accord cost $12.8k and its stripped. Or, was stripped;):D
