Got em ;)

Getting Kumho ecsta supra 712's for the fronts (bald like slicks), backs already have the same tire and have some tread left. Ordering from tire rack in the next day or 2 unless someone wants to talk me out of em and into some other tires. I can't wait to get the tires mounted and get the wheels on teh car for like 2 days until the snow hits, then back to the stockies I go :)

They aren't my favorite volks but I like em a lot, and any decent looking, good shape, 17" 2 piece wheels for 450 bucks I'm cool with :)

had a nice ride through new hampshire and vermont to get em too. Once i got pulled over and slowed down my crusiing speed approx 20mph the scenery was quite nice :)

Pics:

Rim alone
Lip and wheel up close
Look ma! they're slicks!

Oh, and they're going on my baby, right here:

Yea, chick I bought em from paid like 480 a wheel or something.

Jetblade, what do you drive?

Thanks Isekii, I like em too :)

Anybody know if the need arose later, is there any place I could buy the outer half, not sure what you'd call it, the...rim ;). 1 of the front ones has some curbage. Maybe i'll get lucky and that one will get swallowed by a beantown pot hole and need replacement. Would I able to find just the outer piece for significantly enough less than the cost of a new wheel, if the need arose?

Bubbadu, what bolt pattern?

Thanks for input dudes! :)

They are a universal 8 whole pattern... so basically 4 lug, 100 and 113.5 or whatever offset :) .. my Benz is 5 lug so they wouldnt work. They are white ADR rydrox's 17's, and the Kumho 712's are 205/40/17's.

Don't get 712s!!!

They're suck ass tires that squeal all the time. I had them on my Civic and they'd make more noise than my intake.. didn't grip too well either when I autox'd in them.

Wish I would have bought ES100s or Azenis.

Edit - I didn't realize you lived in an area that gets rain/snow.. maybe the ES100s/Azenis would not be a good choice then.. =x

just got it a month ago dude! I'd trade for a nice corrado, maybe ;) I've got VW fever. it's also got 140k on the clock, you might not want it anyways :)

Anyhow, you can try selling them over at VWvortex, but everyone over there is poor, just as I'm sure most honda owners group people are. everything before mk3 and many mk3 jettas/golfs were 4 lug, 4x100.

Anyone got any comments on my tire choice? Should i try something new, even though this chick's alignment was shot to hell, and she didn't care anymore cuz she was gonna sell her car with it's problems and it's stock wheels, the Kumhos went from new to bald in 3 months. I couldnt' imagine even SEVERE alignment probs doing that in only 3 months and the car still being drivable. madness i tell yah.

we get a lot of rain, but I'm gonna put the stock tires on when the snow comes. I'm from boston, ma. I need 205/40/17's. All weather or summer is OK, by tireracks classifications, as long as the summer ones arent 100% dry weather only.

The 712's are 63 bucks a tire. Even if they wear out in 20k miles and squeal that's cheap.

OTher ones i was considering are Sumitomo HTR Z II's, 85 a tire, but I've heard they're better. Wondering if mixing the tread of the 712's in back with these would matter though, aside from ghettoness.

I would sell my 712's for 55 bucks each... but you would obviously have to drive to VT in order to get them, or pay the shipping... Let me know if thats something you are interested in, but I would have to sell them in a set.

They're 205/40/17 like i need? Are they brand new? Hrmmmm ;) Do you have any hookups for cheap balancing? :p I could spend 200 on all 4, but that's all I have right now, no checks coming for 2 weeks :( and I need at least 2 of em mounted and balanced :(

Didn't know that you needed them or else I would have said something :p My dad works at the Toyota dealership here and I will find out how much it would cost. I believe he said it was about 10 bucks a tire or so.. I will have to find out the details though. I live in Burlington, you should have stopped by :) Everyone here in VT is freaking out about the snow and all the local tire places are going crazy, but I will ask him tomorrow.

Yep, got a VR.

No "go" mods, yet. IT's got 140k, I wanna see how well it holds up before I start pouring money into the engine. Got H&R sport springs and tokiko adjustable shocks I haven't started playing with yet. It already handles like a mofo, I can't wait for this new rubber, should be here in the next 2 days :)

it's plenty fast to get me in trouble already too.

The pic that says they're slicks; it looks somewhat like the rim is bent there? Maybe its just the angle. Nice rims tho. Volks are nice.
