Then dont bitch when gas prices start to rise again, or when your kid develops asthma...

Kidding, I really, really like the new Fords, just dont get duped into racing for pink slips with a Titan.

Hey, I need a truck I went cheap (if you can call that cheap ;))

This thing is rigged for towing, not racing. My momma didn't raise no fool :p

I gotta agree with Sluggo. $32k for a truck is not cheap. For that price you could have gotten the FX4.

Before I bought my car I wanted a F150. I priced out a CC XLT (I think) w/ the 5.4 as an option for like $22-23K. That's cheap. $32K is not. :p

he got it for 25k

It's a shame people don't actually read the thread.

you stuck with ur redneck truck that you can buy for 3k after a few years.. YAY!

trucks hold value really well. I know, i've been keeping my eye on the used market. A G35 will depreciate faster.

It wasn't in the first post :p

You start a thread about your new car with the sticker price, you should at least put down how much you paid for it. :p

Would've preferred a Nissan Titan myself (American auto-companies are on the fritz these days) but congrats.

I was holding out for the Honda Ridgeline, but they put a six in it :p

You could have bought a Tundra Double Cab 4x4 for less.

Standard Titan has a 3.5 ton towing capacity. Big Tow Package makes it more than 4.5 tons. What exactly in the hell is he looking to haul around? His house?

According to Ford's website, max F150 capacity is 9900lbs. Max for the Titan is 9500lbs.

I guess if that 400 makes a difference...

You are pretty good at reading. Might want to practice a little more though.

Not only that, correct me if I'm wrong, but the 4 wheel drive kicks out at something like 18mph. The fact that a well equiped one can bump $40k is a little much also.

The titan has a weak rearend thats what I was getting at.

And exactly what makes you think that? From what I understand, modern automobiles have a unified chassis, excluding break-away engine mounts.

I fail to see how the rearend is any weaker if the towing capacity is almost identical.
