yep. It was actually closer to 9000.

Man with that money in addition to a bit more, you could find yourself an M5. :D maybe a bit more money, but you get the gist.

There's one dealer that gives great discounts to 8-series owners on parts for their cars, although I think you have to provide proof that you actually own an 8 series to get the discount. This dealer is where I get all the parts I need for my '94 840, basically at cost. The only high-$$$ part I've had to get so far was a fuel pump assembly (knock on wood).

Maybe hunt around on BMW forums / roadfly for something similar? Some sort of BMW club you can join that has an agreement with certain dealers for a parts discount?

that's why these cars are worth about as much as a honda civic from the same year. ;) if you can afford to maintain one of these, you can afford a nicer car in the first place.

Going out this weekend to put the radiator in, we would have done it a lot earlier except the radiator clips were so old and brittle we had to buy new ones. Also going to put the new oil supply line.
