So I think the oil pump in my car is dying, last night on the drive home the oil light came on, so I babied it home and parked it, checked the oil 30 min later saw that it was a quart low. Added a quart, started it and the light came back on after the car warmed up.
Anyone have any idea on how much getting it replaced by a mechanic would cost? I simply dont have the right work enviroment (parking lot) to work on it without getting tons of dirt in the motor and ticking off my complex's management.
And if there is already damage to the motor with driving with low oil pressure, though I hope there isnt
what are some decent cars/light trucks for under 5-6k only requirement is that they be decently fuel effiecent.
