As for me: I'd take either, but would be happier with an STi. Always been partial to Subaru :)

that and i'd much rather deal with subaru dealers and quality than mitsubishi assholes and kwality

True--- but in either case, if i'm spending 30k on a car sports car, it wouldnt be either of those. Even though it probably won't put up the track times of the EVO or STI, i'd take the 350z, which just seems like it would be so much more fun to drive in normal, everyday, city conditions. (how often do you go to the track or autoX anyways..) you'd get a nice, reliable, more efficient V6 that puts out just about the same amount of power-- without a whiney turbocharged 4 banger that probably sucks gas and sucks in stop and go traffic.

There was a 4-cyl drag car that made 4000hp based on an Integra body, I think.

EDIT: BTW... Paul Rosche is the same guy that designed the V12 in your oh so beloved McLaren F1
I wonder what the boost was, to create ~700lb-ft of torque at 11000RPM... It must have been a steep HP curve, though.

I'd take an STi over the Evo any day.

BTW, the Subie uses an H4, not I4. :p

I'm an Evo whore. I skimmed a R&T review and the evo matches the STI for 0-60 and 1/4. People say the STI has more paper HP, but the Evo is probably underrated.
