They're inline. Not V.

...and I'd put money on "No". The Honda S2000 is fairly quick.

Edit: and I don't know what's in other countries :)

If he's talking the Evo8, then the S2000 isn't as quick.

the s2000 not that fast of a car.

there are plenty of i4's, and 4's in general that are faster than it.

This was the fastest 4 cyclinder car in the world. :p 1500HP goodness out of 1.5L... :Q

EDIT: BTW... Paul Rosche is the same guy that designed the V12 in your oh so beloved McLaren F1

With a good driver, it's a fairly quick car. I don't know your definition of "plenty," but I don't think that there are "plenty" of 4's faster than the S2000.

Fastest 4 cylinder in the world? What hell kind of denomination is that? If you are referring to stock vehicles from some large automobile manufacturer, then it's currently the Imprezza STi.

STi beats the Evo VIII on a straight shot because of its power advantage. Going through the twisties, many people seem to like the Evo VIII's steering better, as it instills more confidence. So the Evo can generally seem to pull faster track times.

As for me: I'd take either, but would be happier with an STi. Always been partial to Subaru :)

Yeah... it was the other way around though with the old Impreza... the UK mags preferred the steering of the 22B over the Evo6

Yep, which is why if I got an Imprezza, it'd be tough...but I'd think about waiting until next year's STi is released so that they can work out some of the criticisms with this year's model. Steering is a very important thing, and many reviewers just didn't like the subaru's. Then again, I'd probably never notice the difference, heh.

STi is a flat four not an I4. Anyhow the Evolution 6 RS Extreme is much faster than any STi ive seen. Mitsubishi rules.

STI has more HP than the EVO. Also, there's a few Porsches with some serious HP numbers in a 4-cylinder engine that might give the EVO a run for the money. Don't know about the engine configuration (in-line, flat, etc.) though.
