YACT: Me vs Ford F150

a dent shop should be able to get that out for much less than 400.One that does hail damage. Here local we have Dent King , they start at $50.00

Could have been worse. Hell, a shopping cart could have done that!

That will cost a few hundred. Might as well leave it till spring.

The problem is the paint is cracked and the metal is wrinkled in one spot. It needs to be repainted and thats going to push it up that high. 🙁

Probably the last generation one, it mostly metal, all I did to it was leave my paint on it. It wiped right off. Damn american cars, they build them like tanks or something.

probably cheaper like someone else said to find another door. That will cost more than $400 to have fixed. Wouldn't be so bad except the metal got wrinkled.

what year is it? For 400 bucks you shouldnt have any problem getting a new door
Would it be color matched? And where would I order one?

BTW '94 Camry
Might as well just get quotes from a few shops. It will have to be painted no matter what color you get from the bone yard. Whoever does the work will decide whether it's cheaper to bang that one out, or put a replacement door on, but either way, it will have to be painted.

Dude, that is NOTHING compared to what my F150 did to a Subaru (driven by this little old lady).

I tagged her doing about 30 mph and the back end of her car was in a bad way when I drove off.

OTOH I had a bumper replacement to do and that was it. I loved my truck. The day I sold it was a sad day.

I got a new door for my 2001 Accord for 700, after paint and installation. May as well poney up for a new door, if you can afford it. If not, you should be able to find a shop that will fix that for cheap. I got my really messed up rear door, look just like yours, redid for 400 bucks, so it's possible.

Why are you limited to 400 bucks anyway? If someone hit me, there procedure is to get a police report if on public land or if the other person doesn't have insurance and is on private land. Either way, the insurance company takes care of it from there....
