I have to agree with the New Diesel Jetta. It has a 4year warranty and VW pretty much only makes diesel cars over seas, it is their gasoline ones you have to worry about. The Diesel price vs regular gas vs gas mileage between the two doesn't really save you the amount of money it will be to upgrade from the 2.5 edition. However it is a very nice/safe ride.

Seriously, driving to Chicago in my Accord LX 4-cylinder, I got 35 mpg with the A/C on the WHOLE way.

Not bad, if you ask me.

I have a 2003 Civic EX and the seats are suprisingly comfortable for long trips. Best mileage was 44 miles per gallon on 87 octane on a 4 hour trip, cruising at 70 mph.

If you are under 6' tall, it sure is. For the rest of us that like headroom it is definately not comfortable.

The again, I got barely any headroom either in my RX8 but I have it for a whole other reason besides comfort.

The TC has a pump action seat where you can lower it pretty far.

ohhh I will advise looking at the Saab 9-2x Aero model trim. It comes mostly decked out and just under 20K brand new. Plenty of room, comfy, good gas milage, has power/torque when you need it, and holds alot. Only problem is finding one for sale right now.

I know, and it's still not enough headroom. My hair was scrapping.

Ford FiveHundred - hands down the winner!

I would also look at the Chevy Malibu/Pontiac G6
Buick LaCrosse
