YACT: Is this normal?

I was helping my friend change the oil in his car (Honda Accord w/ manual transmission). We had it up on jack stands and when he started the car the wheels started moving, they gradually built up quite a bit of speed. The car was in neutral when this was happening. It stopped when he pushed the clutch pedal in. I thought it was odd, because my car doesn't do that. Is it anything to worry about?

was the engine running? i notice this when driving my CR-V. at a stop, in neutral with the clutch out, my engine idles at ~600-800rpms. with the clutch in, still in neutral, it rises to ~1100rpms

hmmm

it's normal
you can even stop the wheels with your hands.

Although the gearbox hasn't selected any gears, there is still some frictional load between the output shaft and the layshaft..so your wheels will spin if in the air
