YACT: Installing a DVD system for the Kids - Are there any Car WIRELESS HEADPHONES? EDIT: CHEAP SOLUTION FOUND!!!!!

Analog

There must be a simple wireless headphone adaptor for short distances (like in a car). The ones I've seen are big, need 120v (the base unit) and are made for up to 300'.

I need something that will work in a car, and for a relatively short distance. I suppose even an infrared system would work!

TIA.

🙂🙂

EDIT:

I hooked up a Belkin wireless FM transmitting adaptor (the kind for iPods, etc), to the DVD player. Then I used some cheap headphones with built-in FM receivers. They work GREAT!

Total cost: $32 for the transmitter, and two headphones from Wally World.

ADDED BENEFIT: Now the DVD player can also be received on the Van's stereo system if needed!

HEHEH!

awesome man

i feel bad for my parents...they took my bro and i on a month long cross country road trip when we were 6 and 9 (respectively)... and had nothing to keep us distracted 🙂

When my brother and I were kids, we were perfectly content to stare out the window for... 6... 7.... 8 hours. So long as every 4 hours or so we get a small fry at McDonalds, it was all cool.
