If you're going to drive that way, let the clutch out a little more rather than giving it more gas. Your clutch will go to hell if you're using it to hold the car at 4000rpm on every hill..

Neither my family nor any of my friends' families own or have owned manuals, so I still haven't learned and probably never will. A bit of a shame, I suppose, but I'm alright with it. They sound like more pain than they're worth, especially for someone like me who isn't concerned with "having fun" driving.
