A couple of my friends and I decided to clean up our Zs and take some pics together. I own the white 300ZX, the others obviously belong to my friends.

My friend took all the shots, and I think he did a tremendous job. He is really talented with the camera. Let me know what you guys think!

I always loved the 300zx (your gen, the R32 i think). Very nice car. Too bad yours isn't a TT :(.

Though out of all those, i'd take the 350 :). On the other hand, if yours was TT... *Drool*.

You have a very nice car.

As patrol captain @ my elem. school, and even before then, many many years ago, a parent from the school drove by me everyday in her gleaming white 300zx TT ...for years.

Passion for that car only begins to describe it.....

Nice pictures of the different generations of 300ZX?s?
I have always liked the 300zx body style they look very sporty. I have found one that I am buying at the end of the month, it's a 1990 300zx two seater, auto with power everything and cloth interior T-tops forgot to mention the car only has 34,000 miles on it.
I have known the owner since he purchased the car new in 1990 I asked if I could have first shot @ buying the car when he went to sell it told me he?d keep me in mind, he?s decided that he wants the new convertible 350z so I am picking up his ZX getting a great deal on it everything works and I?ll very satisfied with my not so far off purchase.
*Quick question has anyone heard what the 300zx sounds like with the larger dual exhausts?
The ?90 300zx has a pair of Monza duals on it now but they?ll need replaced soon?
Thanks in advance.

hope it holds up better than my friend's 91 300ZX. it randomly stops firely on certain cylinders and has been in and out of the shop since she bought it. apparently a fun car, though much slower than the Mustang 5.0 it replaced. she's sick of trading fun for quality, so she's selling it for a Civic.

Sounds like your friend suffers from a bad mechanic, not a bad car. The Z32 engine is a solid and reliable powerplant, really the only thing you can fault with it is that the 60k (and 120k and 180k) maintenance is quite costly, as it involves changing the timing belt and a host of other stuff while you're in there. Well, that, and the damn thing is just so complicated - but the NA engine bay is nothing compared to the TT one.

As for cyls not firing, it could be anything, but offhand she could either have 1 or 2 coil packs going bad, or possibly a wiring issue, if not both. Since the cars are so electronic and have a gazillion connections under the hood, the early 90s ones are showing more and more problems in that arena. It could be something as simple as corrosion on a couple of wiring harnesses...

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll ask my friend what camera he used, I wasn't paying attention.

I actually like the Z31s (1942-1989) almost as much as the new ones. They still look pretty sleek IMO, especially if they've been kept in good condition.

Don't bold your entire post, it's annoying.
