YACT:How to reset the "service engine soon" light

I need to reset this light on a 2000 Buick Regal. Anyone know how? It wont turn off. no matter what

Masking tape. Or a black Sharpee.

I searched google, nothing there, but why not go to the dealer or some auto store and see if they know? ... I dunno.

i hear places like pep boys or kragen might be able to assist you with this. if you go to the dealer, face it, they are going to want to plug it into the computer and charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. if you are completly sure nothing is wrong, go to one of the places i suggested and see what they can do for you. more than likely, just ask for a reset, and they'll do it for ya

did you check your owner's manual first?

try disconnecting the battery and shorting the two cables together... NOT the battery points

Autozone can do it. Doesn't mean it will stay off though if it's a reoccuring problem that needs to be addressed.
