YACT: How to replace electronic 4WD switch in '97 GMC Jimmy?

A co-worker with a 97 Jimmy had the electronic 4WD switch on her dash fail so she cannot engage her 4WD. She is picking up the part soon and wants to replace it herself. Any guide or info on how to do something like this? I logged into autozone.com and couldn't find any info in the repair/how-to sections for her vehicle. Thanks!
 
it's pretty stright forward, pull the dash face off then it's a couple screws and just a wiring harness clip in the back.

Laust, I'm curious... do you know the cheapest price you would be able acquire this part for? She wants to know if "she was screwed" on the price she paid for the part.
