Well I hardly represent a diverse pool, but I've owned three cars. Two nissans and one old accord. The accord cost me about $2000 over 6 months in repairs, including a ~$1100 new transmission due to an undiagnosed leak. I finally got rid of the car when an intermittent unwillingness to start the engine began to bother me and even Honda could not locate the problem.
