Ok, today it rained here, so I decided to have fun with the wet, and went to my apartment complex's *not*used parking lot.... it's far away from any residence, and nobody was around there... So I just made like 10-15 donuts with my A4 1.8T Quattro... well they weren't perfect donuts but oh well... so what I want to know is what is the maximum damage I could have done to my car by donuts other than tires getting worn quicker...

Thanks.

Throw a rod in the transmission. That's what I did while doing donuts in my old Blazer.

As long as you're double-clutching your titanium valve caps, you're not in any great danger of doing damage to your intake manifold.

It's hard on the drivetrain. I wouldn't do it anymore if you intend to keep your car.

It's not going to hurt much..

Probably hard on your suspension more than anything.

Nothing better than an old/no tech rear wheel drive car in a freshly iced over parking lot ;)
I miss those days

I second this.

As long as you constantly aren't loading&unloading the tire (which sounds like a "chirping" sound, similar to a hard launch with minimized tire spin), but you are roasting it, there's very little drivetrain wear.

Those of us with big block V-8's didnt need ice or wet parking lots. ;)

Just turn the wheel all way and floor the gas pedal.

If you can see anything through the cloud of tire smoke, you arent doing it right.

If done properly, you can't really hurt your car that bad, but I don't do anything stupid in a car unless it's the designated beater, or a rental.

Ya I remember those days in high school. End of the day on a Friday afternoon doing a couple 360's and just filling up the parking lot with smoke. Gotta love those old V-8's.....And REAR wheel drive!
