I went to Empire Glass in Portland, Oregon. They were having a special "24 free dinners at Sharis Restuarants." My insurance covers the bill after the 100 deductible. Empire Glass even waived that 100 dollars, so I basically went in there, and came out with a brand new windshield and 24 free dinners!
I looked at the bill and it would have cost me 320 dollars if my insurance didn't cover it.

most companies will replace the windshield without any raise in your insurance rates.

Not sure if it's the same as over here in the UK but here if you have full insurance....it's free if the windshield can be repaired and £50 if it needs to be replaced....neither claims effect the premium.

So my friend's been having nothing but bad luck with her new Focus. After only a couple of weeks her mirror has been knocked off, and now there's a huge crack in her front windshield from a rock. How much will it cost to fix it?
