YACT: How many miles between oil change for synthetic?

After draining and refilling the engine with synth 3 times, I'd be comfortable doing 10,000 miles. My K&N oil filter claims to do 15,000 miles.

Car is an '01 Integra.

I may need to stop using Synth, since the car is burning up oil, and needs 1 quart every 2 thousand miles.

That is the prize you have to paid for vtech' my friend.

For turbo car I do oil change around 6k km no matter what the manual said.

For NA car around 10k unless it burn a lot of oil.

Your car has an oil-life indicator that will come on when the oil needs to be changed. You can fully rely on it.

Modern oils can last much, much longer than they did in days of old.

Mine comes on between 10,500 and 11,000 miles.

If your going by the OLM it will vary wildly with the type of driving you do. My current job is just 2.3 miles from home so the OLM is dropping the % of life much faster then when I drove 13 miles each way. My mileage also now sucks as the car barely gets to closed loop and I'm pulling into my job, it was 22.2 MPG now 17.8. Thought about getting a 150cc scooter to avoid driving the car but they ask insane prices for them, ditto an older Honda or Yamaha, sorry bub but I'm not shelling out $1,800 for an '84 CB650.

1Qt/2K?

Most mfgs would say that is okay, even for a new car.
