If the MR2 is in good condition, it might be a good buy. The 93 should have the newer suspension, giving you more predictable handling (great for those not used to mid engined vehicles). They changed the rear trailing arms, the bushings, and the factory toe settings. The 91-92's had a nasty habit of toe'ing out the rear wheels when you hit a bump midturn. Unless you're really driving at 10/10ths, it wasn't dangerous, but it does cause you to pucker up. Do it in the rain or in a high speed off-banked turn and you may have to double-check your shorts though. They're fun cars though. It's difficult to find something more rewarding (and teaching) than a normally aspirated mid engined rear drive car. The weight distribution on MR2's is ideal for performance, which is to say 42% front, 58% rear, not ideal for marketing (50%/50%).
