Which would u buy...

im kinda liking the funky look of the tundra flareside/stepside model

also should i wait for the 2004's or get one now

i dont really expect to do any towing...just round town to work and stops at homedepot for home improvemnt stuff 😛

id love feedback from owners of any of these trucks

might want to wait for the 2004's the new f150s are gonna be out, and i think they are much better looking than the ones now, esp the interior

the new nissan titan will be out as well and looks pretty good for a japanese truck, and is full sized, unlike the tundra

thing is i dunno if i am gonna be able to get anything close to invoice on that new Titan or the ford redesign i am sure they will be in high demand

well i'm sure they'll be in demand, but i don't ever recall seeing huge premiums on trucks like u do the small run cars.....its not exactly an m3 or mini or something like that

Dodge for more power, Chevy for slightly less-than-toyota quality, Toyota for world's best quality ranked by JD Power & Associates, and Ford for an overpriced bucket of bolts.

There is a poll you know.

Toyota if you want quality throughout, a nice interior, and a "weak" V8 engine.

Dodge if you want power, poor gas mileage and a decent interior

Chevy if you want oodles of power, decent gas mileage and a crappy interior

Ford if you're desperate (not counting the yet to be released '04 model)

If you're not towing, get the Toyota.

The Dodge will give you power train problems and the worst fuel mileage.

The Chevy.. well its a GM, best just to leave it be.

The Ford, I bought an 02 f-150 with the FX4 package (cause I got it cheap)
and have been very happy with it. Decent fuel mileage 17/20 and pulls the
boat pretty dern well 🙂

I'd say Tundra because it's a Toyota and is the highest ranked pickup by JD Power. And since you aren't planning on a lot of towing, the "underpowered" engine won't make any difference, and you'll appreciate the better gas mileage.

I agree...if it's just gonna be a "commuter truck" I'd get the Tundra hands down. Can't go wrong with Toyota....they last forever.

how much MPG should i expect to give up if i got the 4wd version of a truck
would the added weight realy affect the gas mileage significatntly?

my dad used to lease a 4runner......that thing never broke down.....5 year lease..and my dad abused the car to the max.....and changed the oil ONCE.........ONCE...ONCE.......only once....and it never broke.....nothing broke....5 yrs after...w/ 120k miles on it.....it still ran like brand new....my dad wanted to get another one but since he earned a crapload of money, he opted for a benz suv instead...blah......4runner was better in my book....

my friend drives around a tundra......it's freakin nice as hell.....he has the safari package on it (u knw, those metal bars to protect the lights)..and the car's shiny black...w/ nice set of large tires....

and after i saw pics of the (droool) t3 version of the tundra....... ((orgasm))

F-150, hands down (see, for ex., here)

i own an F-250 (powerstroke diesel) and a ranger.

tundra - no guts.
chevy - driving around town truck, nothing more.
dodge - unreliable POS

I have an 03' F150 V6 MT, & I love it, I've driven every incarnation of the Tundra & don't like it, Dodge has historic build quality issues, Chevrolet is fine.

Ford is nearly giving away the F150's with incentives, etc, mine was a whopping $12.8K out the door

If you're looking for the cheapest, it's prob the Ford

With money as no object, I'd go Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota.

If you look @ sales volume, (combining the Chevy & GMC 1/2 ton offerings) I think you'll find a correlation between my suggestions & total sales too, and there are many reasons for these sales figures, most of them pretty much defy logic😀

I suspect the truck market will follow the sedan market and the Japanese-based brands will dominate in ~5 years or so...

If I were to buy in 6 months, I'd buy the Nissan Titan or the 04' F150.
