The way I fix them is to go to the fabric store and buy 6 feet or less (depending on the car) of light fabric. Pick out something cool

( I did the roof of ty 78 Camero with the US Flag

Anyway take all the trim pieces down (can be snapped on or screws). Remove the light cover from the middle and pop it off. Take out headliner.
Remove all excess fabric and with a wire brush remove all of the foam backing that is left.
After that use 3m carpet adhesive and apply light coat to the headliner backing and the fabric.
Allow to get tacky for 3 minutes and apply together. Cut out excess off and hole for the light.
Late sit in the sun and bake for 2 hours.
Put back up in reverse order.
Most fabric store will have headliner fabric but if you want to get fancy use some other typer of cloth. Just make sures its not a heavy kind for it will fall down again eventually. But regular fabric right to the backing wont be squishy like the oem but because its right to the backing the foam wont come apart and fall down on you again, ever.
