YACT: Have you debadged your car?

Hello ATOT, I'm contemplating debadging my 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. It's very easy to do, as it will leave no holes to fill in. I have seen debadged Tundras, and love that clean look. Should I do it? Have you guys debadged your cars?
 
debadging looks stupid imho.

Its not so much clean as there seems to be something missing, besides its not like you drive a yugo or renault or some junker.
 
I'm not a fan of de-bagdging; however my experience with it usually involves people who buy the cheaper of two models, trying to "hide" evidence of their cheapness by taking the badges off. i.e. the guy who buys the 500SL instead of the 600SL; then takes the badges off hoping people might think he's got the 600.

But, since you have a Tundra, I'm sure your motives are different. If you like the look, you should do it... that's all there is to it.

I have a Ranger (2005) but in 2006 models they used a much cleaner fender emblem so I tore off the 2005 ones and put the 2006 ones on. Much better I think.

The only "cheap" thing about it is that it's not a V8, it's a V6. If I wanted to make it look like a V8, I could just slap on a V8 badge on it and call it a day, but how ghetto is that? 😛 That's not why I wanted to do it, lol. I have the SR5 package and whatnot, and don't really care if that badge won't show anymore, since everyone at my school drives BMW's and Mercedes's.

I?ve mostly thought this, when looking at some BMW 3 series?.

I personally wouldn?t bother, however some cars (maybe yours too OP) look a bit better without the badges.
 
If I'm going to debadge, I would debadge ALL the badges right (because if I leave some there, it would look like some of them were stolen or fell off 😛)?

To me it seems like the person is doing whatever they can to make their car look different.
 
wtf? why would you debadge your car in the first place?

even worse is replacing the original badge with a different one. example, taking off a mercedes-benz E430 and putting on an E55 AMG badge. i HATE that. putting a badge on doesnt magically give you that extra horsepower/features of that car.

Same with the people that don't own an M series BMW. But that doesn't stop them sticking an M badge on their 318i. lol
 
I debadged my Black SRT-4
Debadging on black cars usually looks good if you tint the tails and tint the windows to make it look sleek.

#1, a Toyota Tundra is not a CAR.

Are you ashamed of the Truck, and don't want people to know its a Toyota??

I thought Toyota was one of the Better vehicles on the road,
and that most peple were Proud of them.

Rebadge it to say Ford Super Duty. 😉
 
Well I have been thinking about debadging my 06 Tacoma Prerunner. It isn't like someone can't figure out what kind of truck is without the wording on the back etc.

For some reason, it pisses me off having lettering etc sticking out from the flush smooth surface of the body.
