I have had the enjoyable experience of driving a company supplied Escalade EXT for the last two years. Originally the owner of the company leased it for his own use, but then decided after 1 1/2 years he wanted something different, so he handed me the keys and I have been driving it since then. The lease comes due in 4 months and has a buyout of ~$35,000 Cdn.
Should I:
1) Have the company pay out the lease and keep driving the Escalade (it is starting to show some wear and tear (50,000 kms - 31,000miles on the odometer)
2) Have the company pay out the lease and then sell it and buy a new vehicle, likely a less expensive but fully featured 1/2 ton 4x4 extended cab truck
3) Return the Escalade at lease end and buy the new truck same as option 2.
