get a beater, and use the rest of the money for usefull stuff like food and what not in school, or is mommy gonna pay for that too?
And knowing how an engine works and transplanting one are two different games.
Youl'll need a engine hoist, a garage, knowledge of the tranny, cause you'll have to mate it up to the engine, Fuel system, electrical.
Look just bc my mom was gonna pay for most of my car doesnt mean that she pays for everything. I can assure you that i pay for almost everything i own. She was just going to treat me to a new car bc she knew i hate the station wagon and she really liked it.
And back to the car...Yeah that is what i would like to learn. I understand the concepts of how they work but i want to learn first hand how they work. Ok well i have decided to get a beater for all those who think im just some rich spoiled kid. I will be paying for this beater too.
Would i be better off with an old accord or civic? Would it be a safe bet to buy a used car with maybe 50-60k miles on it? Thanks
50-60k is a beater? WTF? Crack rock needed on aisle 5.

There are a few accords in my local paper that are like 95-97 with around 60k miles on them going for 5-6k. There are very common and very cheap were i live.
EDIT: My mistake, they have more like 80-90k miles on them.
