They're upping their charges from $75 to $79 for internet this upcoming year. Already didn't want to pay $75, but I keep getting charged that somehow.

Tried to get a cheaper deal online. They called and said no good. I called to cancel. Told them what I wanted. After hemming and hawwing, they gave me $30/month for 25mbit. I'm like, "Ok. Fine."

Get home. Internet is slow. Reboot modem et all. Wait a couple minutes. Speedtest - 7.5mbit, solid. Try a few different places. Still 7.5. Google this problem. It's becoming apparent they put me on the wrong plan.

Call in to retention again. Tell them what I was offered and told I was to be given. They complain and offer me even worse things now. I said, "Alright, fuck it. I'm cancelling once this billing cycle ends." Hung up.

Ordered a different plan online. Waiting for them to call. (It's what they do) And going to up it back to the 50mbit I was on for the next few days (till the end of the billing cycle) and then try the gambit again on the 27th or so. I'm not going to pay $75 and then get 6mbit service... wtf?

$79.99/month now for my Business Class HSI.
Wish there are other/better alternatives in my location. Tried AT&T U-verse for a few months and it sucked.

I'm an extremely heavy internet user and downloader (into the terabyte per month club) and I do it on a 4g connection at around 8 megabit. Works for me (Sprint unlimited).

And I'm back to 50mbit. It'll be $75/month. It's going up to $79 next year. Such bullshit. I'll probably do a cancel throw around when I have energy then.

Gigabit Seattle is offering 100/100 for $45. I just have to wait for them to actually take off here. 1000/1000 for $80.

But... I'll be moved out by the time they're actually a thing where I live.

But if I move to Austin... Google gigabit fiber!

So you're wasting how much time on the phone over $4/mo?

Ah, I wasted all that time over $0/month. I'm back to what I was when I started, but I will change it on another day.

It was a very slow day at work. No emails, no work to be done... Just sitting.

Don't they start your contract over?

They are able to offer reduced pricing because you guarantee them X months of business or a $XXX termination fee generally.

No contract offers where I've been.

I'll probably just have to deal with it. :colbert:
