I drive it around first thing in the morning then stop in the store to run an errand. I get back into the vehicle 5mins later and crank it back up but the gas pedal goes all the way to the floor and does not rev up the engine.

Also the brake pedal is stiff as a rock.

Goes into gear but nothing happens.

It's random.

I can shut off the car and try again in a few minutes and it's fine.

Looking for ideas.

Car is still under warranty with a little over 15,000 miles on it; fun part is that although it's still under warranty it never happens when it's at the dealer.

thanks in advance.

I dunno if the Uplander is throttle-by-wire or not, but it sounds like you may have snapped the throttle cable if it isn't, or the sensor is bad, if it is TBW.

Wait, are you saying it's random?

Sounds like there's either a loose connection somewhere, or something is lodging itself between the pedals under the dash.

Looks like the Uplander has electronic throttle control. I'd bet that the sensor on the pedal is bad.
