Long story short I'm looking at buying a car which has some cheap ass "limo" window tint applied. The tint is peeling off pretty severely as is and I wouldn't want the crap on their anyway. Can I just peel the rest off if I get this car or is there more to it? TY!

I'm sure googone would get it all off. Don't get any on your paint though.

Probably just the dark film is coming off and not the real adhesive.

Any decent tinting shop should be able to remove it for you.

Only bad thing is they may charge him around $60 to do it.

I've never tried this, but have heard plain old soap and water works on it. The hardest part would be getting it started. You could probably score it with a sharpened up old credit card or somesuch so the soapy water can work its way in, then peel it off and scrub the adhesive left behind with a plastic scouring pad and more soapy water.

I looked into this a while ago when I got my Trans Am, but decided to just leave it in place instead.

EDIT: This site seems to know of a better method to do it....

The side windows should be cake, it sounds like the back window would be a huge PITA...
