Rules are, you answer a question correctly, you get to make a question. The first person who answers correctly gets to make the next question, so on and so forth. I'm a guy who knows more modern cars than the classics, so I'll start with something I know, and I'll try to shy away from Turbo Dodge questions ;) ...

What was the first year you could get a Ford Taurus SHO with an automatic transmission?

Shoot. Well, I knew the V8 didn't have a manual option so it was worth a shot. Let's try 1993.

US would be the obvious answer (to me at least) but I've got a feeling you're trickier than that, Roger ;)

I want to say (shot in the dark) Germany?

Incorrect, incorrect, incorrect, the first true automobile was not powered by an internal combustion engine, it was driven by an external combustion engine sometime in the 1700's, how's that for a clue ?

Well if you want to say that.
Then I would say Leonardo Da Vinci because he was designing such machines.

There is a guy from France, that for the life of my I cannot remember with out busting out google.

France is correct, the inventor and the machine had the same name......Cougnat.

Leonardo did not manufacture such a machine, he drew up plans for one.

Go ahead Sampson and Delila ;)

Ok Sampson, your turn to name a question...

EDIT - how about a time limit on this, if he doesn't answer in say, 10 minutes from his last post, anyone can jump in with their question. That way we're not waiting around for too long ;)

Yea Cougnat.. thats the guy.
Da Vinci just had plans for them in the .. what 15th century?

Working on a question, gimmie a minute
