YACT: budget suspension setup (H&R + Tokico?)

I am researching around for suspension upgrades, not looking to race or autox, so I don't need >$1000 coilovers.
I had Eibachs and KYB GR2 (non adjustable) on my previous car before, so I want something a little better.
Those H&R Springs and Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) seems to be right combo. But after doing some price search, that set would cost me around $650. (HR = 200 shipped, Tokico = 450 shipped)
I was over at honda-tech and found a deal in their sponsorship forum and found a "Function + Form" coilover. It is priced at $700 shipped. should I go with this instead? (it's only 50 bucks more)

and what other setup would you suggest?

I've heard good things about Eibach pro-kits and Bilstein shocks...that's what I would get for my Accord if I weren't so cheap

i had the Sportline, it rides quite nice. (but since I have nothing to compare with, it's not really a valid judgement)

Have the Tokico 1.25 drop springs with the Illuminas. They must be matched because the ride is good even with the drop.

Way back when, I had the Tokico blues on a Miata. They were ideal. I didn't feel like paying more for the Illuminas because the adjustability wasn't a factor for me. The blues were fine as-is. I paired them with some Jackson Racing springs and was in heaven.

exactly, I honestly do not need Adjustables. But with the non-adjustable the only other choice I have it the Tokico HP Blue (since I had the KYB GR2, which i heard is almost stock OEM grade, I wanna try something different) Meanwhile, I have heard numerous negative stories about the tokico blues though.

can't you adjust the Yellows?

I have the Koni Yellow Adjustable and tuned half turn from full soft front and back and while the ride is a little more stiff it's still very comfortable. The Koni's are quite expensive thou.

You can, but it's the spring rate that the Sportlines are for my car.

If you're not looking to race or autox, what was wrong with Eibach and KYB GR2 that you feel you need "something better." That's a great daily driver street set-up.

Don't ever buy cheap coilovers.

Okay. I got that.

meanwhile, I know I am dragging on this, but pls indulge me...

is it a good idea to go with adjustable front and "GR2/Tokico Blue" back?

also, Vic, what you think of the Tokico blues?

I don't have any personal experience with them so I can't say. I don't recommend using a different set-up front/rear though.
