In the summer when it's hotter outside sometimes the brake pedal goes all the way, all we do is pump the break and it eventually works. This is a 91 Accord LX btw. We've had the master cylinder checked and it's not that, the pads are fine too.

This doesn't happen when it isn't hot outside, I haven't experienced it enough to know what kind of temperatures, but it doesn't happen during winter or spring or fall, only during summer.

How long has it been since the system was bled?

what do you mean by bled?

Getting the air out of the brake lines.

Start with the brake furthest away from the master cylinder. Have someone step on the brake and open the valve on the line. Make sure there is plenty of fluid in the resevoir. When you get a steady stream of fluid close the valve. Move to next brake. Again make sure their is plenty of fluid in the resevoir and the person doesn't let off the brake until the valve is closed or you will get more air in the system. If you break the valve your fvcked.

low fluid or contamination = bad. when brakes are hot which is when u need it, the contaminants turn to gas and u lose brake all together eventually since hydrolics require uncompressable fluid. atleast thatss how i think it works
