Congrats, I love the older Saabs. I almost got two different 88-90 900S's instead of my current car, but the A/C was borked on one and the other needed a new clutch and throw out bearing something fierce. :(

Do you still have to put them into reverse to get the key out?

The 9-5 is a really nice car to drive. I had one as rental back in 2000 and took it to Autobahn. It would cruise all day at 120mph with no effort. You'd think you were doing 65.

nice deal at 79. I would have jumped on that myself with the problems fixed before hand and the cheap warranty.

Time to buy a good multimeter.

What website is that from?

The first word starts with a 'C', and the second starts with an 'R'.

So, I have to pay for it. :(

msn autos doesnt list the engine as that bad.

the only problem with the engine is sludge buildup, and thats easily eliminated w/ good oils, and freq. changing.

also saab is offering an 8 year warranty on them since they know of the issue.

now it comes with a free $101 ticket courtesy of a prick ass cop.

and i could definately fight it, but the courts 2 hours away.

he has the color of my car as grey (its green), and well id take traffic school over 2 pts and a $101 fine.

friggin cop didnt even check to see if i had a previous violation, first damn thing he said was "i am pulling you over for going 84 and you are going to be cited for this" of course, i had never been pulled over, or anything prior. damnit. why couldnt i get a warning.

but it also comes with a 30mpg avg on the highway (29.7 @ ~ 83mph) which i liked.

you know saab stands for, "Somethings Almost Always Broken" :p

hope you get all the electrical gremblins out

edit: get the warranty or you'll appreciate how expensive it is to fix european cars. my friend had two O2 senors replaced for $400 on 98 bmw 328i
